		<description><![CDATA[One of my favorite professors at college taught medieval history.  He was an engaging lecturer and an extreme Luddite.  He started every class by hanging a large map of Europe (do you remember the sort?  Like an enormous window shade with a map on it.  I love those maps) at the front of the class.  Every test he gave had a geographic component, despite the fact that it was a history class, not a geography class.  His reason for this?  &quot;Because,&quot; he explained, &quot;History happens some time, and some place.&quot;

Even a lovable old Luddite can get the locative.
